The myth of the undefeated man
Despite what Mayweather would have you believe, the undefeated man in is a myth. Mayweather was scared to lose to Pacquiao two years ago when they should have fought. What stopped him? The fear of losing, the fear of not being perfect.
This is not a post about Mayweather though, it is about your own inner demons. I have had guys tell me that they are scared to lose. Really? If you are scared to lose and never put yourself in situations in which it is a possibility, then you will never learn or challenge yourself.
Losing is learning, just as mistakes are our great teachers. Should you want to win at all times? HELL YEAH! But you need to know that it is impossible. All things and sports for that matter are really a competition with ourselves.
Trophies for everyone is one of the stupidest ideas ever because it teachers kids nothing. Life is not all roses and peaches. By rewarding everyone, you are robbing kids of one of the great lessons of sports. I have guys in the gym that refuse to push themselves to places they have never been before and it’s a pity, because at this point there is no more progress being made. I have had people not step out of their comfort zone for fear of not being able to handle the set. That’s bullshit…
You are gonna lose, but it is in these losses that you will become greater….

I agree totally about facing inner demons, but in the case of Mayweather Paquiao, this is not true. Pacquiao began the drama by picking the glove size, and then went on to say that he wanted 10million dollars (unheard of for every pound that Mayweather was over the weight limit). So may Mayweather countered by asking for a random drug test that both fighters would have to take. I don’t think he was expecting Pacquiao to shit bricks after the request.
Now Mayweather looks like a genius for the request, because at least three boxers have been caught using PEDs in the last year!!! I call that intelligence. Then everyone opponent Pacquiao faced had to meet him at a weight that was favorable to him. ie. Delahyoya, Cotto, Margarito. When you are at 7percent body fat 4-5 lbs less than your normal weight is tremendous. Pacquiao doesn’t have the skill to beat Mayweather, ask Marquez, the guy who takes Pacquiao through life and death fights, with half the skill, speed and defense of May weather. Good article but, you have to do more homework about the sweet science.
Just bc 3 other boxers were caught doesn’t mean Pac Man was using and most anabolics are going to stay in the system much longer than a month so the normal drug testing would have been adequate. I do think Mayweather would have the upper hand now, but nonetheless, in my opinion, he was definitely ducking Pac Man. BTW, 95% of pro athletes are using, its a fact….
