A few weeks ago, I went for a walk with a friend. This friend told me some hard truths. And you know why he told me these truths? Because I asked him to tell me. People that care about you, that truly, deeply care about you, have love in their heart for you. Love is about telling others the truth when they need to hear it, even if you think it’s going to sting. Call it tough love, call it whatever you want, but it comes from wanting to help you or me in this case BE better.

About a month ago, the Newell Strength team gathered to empty out the old red side of the Hillsborough location. Our lease was up and we were planning on downsizing for quite some time for a multitude of reasons, the biggest of which were the energy and the Tribe being more connected once again. Man, this episode got me fired up. Lisa is one of the most inspirational people I know. After suffering from a debilitating tumor as a teen, her passion for fitness was reinvigorated. She used that fuel to start her own fit-biz and to become an IFBB pro. At every turn, people told her what she couldn’t do. She didn’t care, she just continued to speak her dreams into existence. But the key was her consistent, daily actions that reinforced her beliefs and thoughts. Tune in
