10,000 Miles Without Actually Moving an Inch

I think back to when I was still teaching and to some of my colleagues.

Some teachers would teach the same lessons, without change, year after year, because that’s what the books told them to do.

No adaptation, no adjusting to the students, just, ‘Here’s the lesson and I am sticking to it’.

These types of teachers wind up with 30 years of teaching with one year of experience.

Recently, I have been back in, Coaching and doing some 1 on 1 training and as such, I have gone back to some of the classics in literature that first inspired me and gave me ideas and inspirations.

This time through, I see them through new eyes.

There ain’t too much new under the sun when it comes to strength training now that I am in the gym for over 20 years, but I aim to keep my ‘beginner's mind’.

You can either travel the world in 10,000 miles or sit on a stationary bike for 10,000 miles and never leave your living room.
