𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐃𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡…
Years ago, someone told me, ‘Everyone is doing the best they can with what they’ve got’.
We all have different levels of consciousness. Sometimes, consciousness can be as simple as how many neural connections your brain has made.
Based upon your background, you have made a bunch of high speed brain networks up the grey matter between your ears.
Your experiences, your learning and your fitness, all affect these connections.
Creating new neural connections, like any habit, is going to be awkward at first. Your brain has already laid down the tracks, certain roads have already been paved and plowed, which of course, makes those roads easier to travel.
This leads people to cling to beliefs, even when reality is staring them in the face, and their paradigm doesn’t match what they’ve been led to believe.
This is relevant more so now, than ever.
One of the philosophies I live by is ‘Empty your cup’. This means that I examine my beliefs and each day try to start with an open mind and a clean slate.
Because of this philosophy, I put less emotional weight into my beliefs, which makes it easier for me to examine other potentials.
I guess that’s a whole different lesson the more I write here.
Getting back to where I began: you may disagree with others, even those that are closest to you. That’s ok.
Everyone is doing the best they can with what they have. What they have is their history, knowledge, experiences, nature and nurture and I am sure many more things.
No one sets out upon the morning hoping that they disappoint others or wanting to let you down.
Have some compassion and understand this truth.
And realize that this truth is key in your ability to forgive quickly.
Yes, forgiveness can happen immediately and in an instance. Maybe that’s something for you to ponder as we head into 2022.
