Here's Your Exercise Tip of the Day

Exercise Tip of the Day:

You need to stretch your hip flexors. From sitting a majority of the time, they will get short and tight. Your hip flexors run from the top of your thigh and connect to your lower back. When tight, they can contribute to back pain.

Here's how to do the stretch:

-Stand with feet about 2 feet apart.

-Angle your back toe towards your front heel

-Push the back hip forward while reaching back and across with that same side arm

-You must lean back slightly when doing this stretch

This is best to perform before bed, upon waking and right after you've been sitting for a long time.

It'll take some a few tries to feel it in the correct spot, be persistent!
