A little more than 2 weeks ago, I was out with Braxton for our Wednesday night date in which we go to gymnastics and then I treat him to Wendy’s, when Devon called me to ask about the power.
It was acting up, everything was going on and off and we had no water since we have a well pump.
Brax and I finished up, and went home to inspect. I called the power company and they informed me that they would be sending someone out.
They did, but not until 10 PM, at which point Devon and I were both sleeping. Luckily, I was out on the couch waiting so it didn’t cause too much disturbance with Mateena and Dax.
He said the house had absolutely no power going to it at all and they would be sending another crew. Sure enough, there was a crew out there digging until 3AM with a small backhoe up in the street.
Crew after crew came the next morning and afternoon until they had the problem fixed. They were awesome in the way they handled it.
We were the only house on the block without power for about 24 hours. We had two choices: we could be bitter about it or we could enjoy the story and experience as it unfolded. We chose the latter.
When you lose something like weight or body fat, you can either be bitter because your inner child is throwing a tantrum or you can enjoy the process. Which one do you think will get you more lasting results?
You see, you always have a choice and therefore, you always control the outcome.
