As I was listening to a podcast shared with me by a friend, with a fitness expert, I was reminded of how there are so many book-smart fitness experts that never achieve anything with their clients.
Because they over complicate everything, usually only recite stuff, proving that they don’t actually own the principle in understanding.
I have always said, learning from my failed efforts, that you can have a program that looks perfect on paper but that don’t mean diddly if it cannot be executed in real world application.
And in no area is there more apparent than in the field of diet and nutrition.
So many of the FFE and FNE (fake fitness experts and fake nutrition experts) can recite the macronutrient count of x, y and zed food, and they can make a detailed map of what a certain amount of calories looks like on paper, but as they say in my world, that’s only paper deep.
One of these FFE can have the most intimate knowledge of carbs, fats and proteins and even the micronutrients, which, by the way, are far more important than the macronutrients, BUT if they don’t have a solid knowledge of the brain and how the human mind forms habits, then it’s all a waste.
I’d take being able to get a client to sleep one extra hour per night and supplementing with sea salt than having a Fake Nutrition Expert get them to do 2 shakes, 4 meals and micromanage every aspect of their eating any day of the week.
The results wouldn’t even be close.
You, the student, the consumer, must realize that head trash needs to be cleared out to make way for a new neural pathway, i.e-habit, to emerge.
If you are looking at your approach to diet or worse yet, if your trainer has you on an eating plan that you both know the end date to, you are being set up for long term failure.
The brain will not form a habit around anything that it doesn’t find pleasure in and will power is anit-habit forming. Read that again my friend.
Fake Nutrition Experts need to complicate things to create a codependent relationship with their client, one in which the client is lost without them.
In the Panda, I teach clients about Mind Mapping and reinforce fasting lessons.
Complexity is the enemy of execution.
With the Panda, you do less, not more.
Escape the grips of the North American Diet mentality while you still can.
