Dads : Here is your Real Super Power


As we gear up for the start of Ripped Dads on March 15th, I have been thinking a lot about what skills we need to hone in on even more to make sure these Dads walk away as the super Dads they can be.


And as it goes, the #1 skill that I keep coming back to is the ability to focus.


It sounds too simple to be true, but yet it is.


This skill of ‘Dad Focus’ has a few different sides to it.


Think about the last time your kids or child asked you to do something with them.


Maybe it was to have a catch, maybe it was to play a video game with them or to just listen to a story they wanted to share.


Were you able to do it without checking your phone? Were you able to actually be present in mind, not just body?


If not, you are missing out on a big part of life.


So, that’s one part of focus as a Dad.


The next part is your ability to focus on your mission at hand.


Do you know that getting 20 pounds and 3 inches off is going to lead to you getting off your medication, more energy and a longer life?


A longer life that may allow you to one day be the super Grand-Dad that you picture in your head?


Well, your ability to focus, day in and day out, each morning on the quality of each interaction, on whether you are drinking your water, following your fasting periods, scheduling and getting to your workouts is the only way you are going to get there.


And staying focused can be hard at first, especially if you don’t ‘conquer Rome’ in one day.


The people that are most successful in life are those that have the ability to withstand ‘boredom’ and get up and repeat those successful habits day in and day out.


Where you focus flows, energy goes and results will follow.
