Feed the Beast
Two weekends ago, I had a rather large feeding.
I’d estimate it at around 6,000 calories.
I used to have legendary cheat days and cheat meals.
I still have a very large appetite. Combine that with the circumstance that we had been mountaineering for 10 hours that day and boom, recipe for a BIG appetite.
Appetite is your ability to eat, which will fluctuate depending on different factors.
Hunger is different. Hunger is a feeling, a hormone. It is not to be obeyed. Stress and too little sleep make hunger skyrocket (thus, stress eating).
If you are mindful of the difference between hunger and appetite, it’ll serve you well.
As you focus on a fasting lifestyle, you’ll see that some days your appetite is different than others. All you have to do is listen to it.
