Here’s the Thing About Hill Rides
Two Wednesday’s ago, I hooked the boys up to my bike in the BumbleBee trailer.
Emma was down for a nap and I had about a half hour before I had to head in for my tattoo appointment.
Now, where we live, we have a pretty awesome hill perpendicular to our road.
So the speed one could pick up on a bike is pretty significant.
The first time down, Colty had fear, understandably.
And since it's a bear to pedal up and we had our Mt. Washington expedition in just a few days, I wouldn’t have minded if he had enough after our first go around.
When I asked him and Brax if they wanted to head back home, they both emphatically said NO! They wanted to do another one.
Which we did.
The first time you do something frightening, its the worst of it. The second time, you know what to expect.
Remember, the brain thrives on prediction and response (patterns).
