Life is a Series of Death

About a month ago, the Newell Strength team gathered to empty out the old red side of the Hillsborough location.

Our lease was up and we were planning on downsizing for quite some time for a multitude of reasons, the biggest of which were the energy and the Tribe being more connected once again.

Anyhow, we moved a majority of the equipment, sold some stuff and on and on. But as these things go, there were little miscellaneous items that still needed to be cleaned out.

I was in no rush because they said they had no new tenant. Yes, they messaged me about a week ago and said they had to have everything out immediately.

So, I went in that Tuesday night and spent about 3-4 hours getting the last of it out of there. And let me tell you, what a relief.

It opened up so much headspace and more energy.

Who knows why I was procrastinating, but I was. Maybe it was a bit of nostalgia.

But realize this, life is a series of deaths. You graduate high school, that part of you is dead, you cannot go back. College, single life, no children and so forth. Parts of you die and fall away and you move forward.

When you realize this, each segment of life is more precious.

Death is a part of life, embrace it.

Be unconventional - Kyle Newell

P.S-We are having our monthly BYOB day this Saturday, the 30th. No, it’s not about drinking. It’s about bringing your own buddy to one of the Saturday morning sessions. If you know someone that needs a spark of movement and inspiration, then invite them this Saturday to come with you to either location. And the workout will be made appropriate for them, so tell them now to worry about having to ‘get in shape first’.

P.P.S-We are now offering 1-1 personal training in addition to our small group memberships. If you want personalization to a higher level and more privacy, then you might want to check this out. The schedule is flexible and you can pick which Coach you would like to have, including me (yes, I am going to be around a bit more in the coming months).
